These are the beliefs of Heart to Heart's developer, Niki Daniels.
Everybody has a heart.
We are all members of the human race, characterized by the capacity to:
a) laugh, and cry
b) feel and express a range of emotions, and
c) aspire to virtues commonly espoused by both religious and secular thinkers, such as: kindness, patience, excellence, service, creativity.
The scriptures and literature of all religions and peoples contain insights about being human which are useful for growing healthy, happy hearts.
Recent research (2013) indicates that reading literary fiction has an effect on the human heart. Specifically it is said to increase empathy, as measured by various psychological tests.

"Live wide. We need a wider frame of reference for who we are and how we are to be."
(Michael Bruner, TED Talk, April 2015)
"Do not be content with showing friendship in words alone. Let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path."
"When your hearts are wholly attracted to the one true God you will acquire divine knowledge, will become attentive to the proofs and testimonies and will commit to memory the glad-tidings concerning the Manifestation of the Beauty of the All-Merciful, as mentioned in the heavenly Scriptures. Then ye shall behold how wondrous are His confirmations and how gracious is His assistance."
